A Poem By me and the kids

Cats in the Pantry
Knocking down the cans,
Stepping over cereal,
Not watching where they land.

Batting at the bags,
Chewing on some chips
Spilling from containers;
Licking their lips.

Leaping from the shelves
With their bellies full and plump.
Time for a catnap.
They pile in a lump.

...and a few more things

Look at these sweet kitties. Whisper has been a wonderful addition to our family. YoYo has accepted him too.

This is a little hat I made. I received some of the bling at Silver Bella in a "stash swap".

I've had the idea to do some kind of funky shadow box for some time now and this is what I came up with. Like it?

I was inspired by a scarf I saw in a Japanese sewing book. The picture on the scarf is from a catalog and I copied it onto fabric.

Some of my latest projects

At Silver Bella I made this cute little felted hat and I made the shrug over the holidays just for fun from the remaining part of the sweater.

This is the wrap I knitted. I LOVE the color.

This is a "purse" I fixed up from a Nesquik container. The possibilities are endless with what you could do with this idea. Teen girls would love them, I would think.

Meet Whisper

We have a new member in the family. His name is Whisper and he is such a sweet kitty boy. We got him at Petsmart yesterday and he's about 7 months old. We think he has been kept in a cage for some time. He didn't know what to think of his new home. He spent the first several hours in the powder room. He was afraid to go venturing at first. Aubry took him upstairs to her room later in the evening and while we watched a movie we could hear him running from the guest room to the bonus room. He carried a toy in his mouth too. CUTE! Yo Yo is adjusting to him rather quickly. They both played with Aubry this morning chasing a string.

Little Stinkers

Todd was out taking care of our chickens when along came a momma skunk and her 6 babies!  Notice the tails sticking up in the top photo.
